When Louise and her mother inherit a dilapidated old house from Great-Aunt Elise, they are only too happy to move out of their rented apartment. But it doesnt take Louise long to release that there is something strange about their new house. There are ominous bumps and thumps that can be heard in the ceiling, wet footprints and a strange gluey substance are left on the stairs, and who belongs to the footsteps that tap up and down the hallway leaving behind the faintest smell of lavender?
 
Louise enlists her neighbour, who is training to be a detective, to help her solve the mystery. Together the two friends set out on a funny and spooky adventure to uncover the history of the old house.
